Country lawyer Cameron Scott and his wife and daughter head to the North Carolina mountains for a vacation. There they meet a young woman named Jennifer Quinn who soon dies unexpectedly, putting Cameron under suspicion. When he investigates her death in an attempt to clear his name, he discovers unsettling information about the pharmaceutical company that his daughter works for.
