With the growth in intellectual activity around the world, copyright law has come to play an important role in the world of modern communication. In the digital arena, management of copyright is a new issue. Several actions have been taken by different countries to manage the copyright, but no uniform standard has been set. This book examines the importance of the role of librarians and information professionals in protecting the rights of a copyright holder. Librarians should keep aware of the latest changes in copyright law and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to oversee their proper implementation while purchasing documents for their libraries. The internet/websites are violating the DMCA because there is no unique legislation copyright in this digital environment.
