Summary

Victoria Porter, who lives on Ocracoke Island in 1756, is racked with guilt after her brother Jeremiah is murdered while trying to protect her honor, but then Jeremiah's ghost appears and helps her on a quest to find their missing brother Jackson. After being thrown from a ship during a storm, Victoria washes up on the beach and is rescued by a man from another time. Meanwhile, Colt MacKenzie is a modern-day horror writer who heads to Ocracoke Island to research the Cult of Teach and the legend of Blackbeard's chalice. Victoria and Colt find their destinies intertwined as they try to protect the chalice and return it to its rightful owner.
