    Compiled by Annie Sutton Cameron, Historian for Orange County Council of Defense, in 1919 at the request of J.S. Webb, chair of the county Council of Defense. Cameron's history covers the Council of Defense and the Home Guard, war bond and overseas relief campaigns, Red Cross activities, patriotic observances, the influenza epidemic of 1918, food administration and other matters.
